We started with one question

What if a science book began not with a definition to remember, but with a question children could not resist exploring?

Seed2Sapling was founded in Bengaluru in 2018 by researchers from IISc Bangalore and NUS Singapore who moved from laboratories into classrooms. In research, you observe, question, test, debate, and change your mind when evidence challenges you. They wondered why so little of this way of thinking reached children in schools.

Our early work with schools taught us that a book or a one-time workshop could not transform learning. Meaningful change needed thoughtful resources, sustained teacher development, supportive school leadership, and classrooms where children could explore, make mistakes, and think for themselves.

Since then, we have grown into a diverse team of researchers, educators, subject experts, teacher mentors, curriculum writers, designers, and technologists. Together, we create experiential books, learning kits, assessments, teacher-learning experiences, and learning spaces while working alongside more than 50 schools. Through this work, we help schools bring the vision of NEP 2020 and NCF-SE 2023 into everyday classroom learning and practice; shaping how teachers plan, facilitate, assess, and reflect.

Our founders have also contributed to national curriculum and textbook development through NCF focus-group work and NCERT textbook-development and review teams.

We are not a school, a test-prep brand, or simply a resource provider. We are a long-term academic partner helping schools build a culture of joyful, rigorous, and meaningful learning.

  • 50+schools
  • 1000+teachers
  • 25000+students
  • 95%+renew year on year
  • 10+researchers
  • 40+educators

"95%+ renew" means: of the schools that complete a first year with us, 95%+ sign again for a second.

Most of our long partnerships run through Learn2Learn, our comprehensive school partnership program.

Why schools stay

"Collaborating with Seed2Sapling for more than two years has significantly changed my perspective on fostering scientific thinking in students." Richa, Science Educator, The Heritage School, Vasant Kunj, Delhi

What makes our approach different

Children as knowledge creators

Questions come from students, not only from textbooks. We surface what children already think and build on it.

Mistake-friendly classrooms

A child free to experiment stays curious. Mistakes are part of figuring things out, not failures.

We work alongside you

Support runs over years, not a single workshop. We work with teachers the same supportive way we ask them to work with children.

One method, across the school

Curriculum, kits, teacher practice and spaces come from one approach. The book, the lab and the training speak to each other.

Passionate about school education? We are always happy to grow the team.
